2011 ECV Race Reimbursement Program

PRELIMINARY

The goal of the race reimbursement program is to encourage and support ECV members to enter races as well as volunteer for club activities. Strengthening the image of ECV and its sponsors by wearing the “blue and white” in races, training rides and at cycling-related events is vital in presenting ECV as an attractive club to its members and community.

The following are requirements of the Race Reimbursement Program.

- Races must be sanctioned by the USA Cycling (USAC) or the Eastern Fat Tire Association (EFTA). Training races are not eligible.

- Eligible races include Track Events, Criteriums, Time-Trials, Road Races, Mountain Bike Races (down hill or cross country), or Cyclocross. Triathlons, brevets, charity events or other similar events are not eligible for reimbursement.

- Eligible races must comprise a field of at least 10 participants.

- USA Cycling annual license must state club/team as “2334 – Essex County Velo”

- Riders must be wearing a current (blue & black kit) ECV club jersey in each race they claim.

- Racers must volunteer for a minimum of 5 hours in service of the club.

- Racers are responsible for filing a claim for reimbursement. Claims should be sent to chris@ecvcycling.org

- Only races held during the current calendar year, January 1, 2011 through December 31, 2011 may be claimed.
