Tour de Essex Details:

• Start: 8:30 AM at Seaside Cycle, 23 Elm Street, Manchester by the Sea, MA
• Parking: At Seaside Cycles or across Bridge Street in the town lot behind the big white church.
• Registration: Day of registration at Seaside Cycle. We roll off RIGHT at 8:30 so get there early enough to sign in.
• Ride Leaders: Looking for volunteers to lead groups of various speeds
• Cue Sheets: attachments available below. The route is marked with the symbol shown on the left/top of this column.
• After Ride BBQ: To be hosted by Seaside Cycle

Member cost: Free
Non-member cost: $10 (to defray BBQ expenses)

It is that time again for ever popular Tour de Essex County century ride! It is time to don your Blue and Black and gear up for the season with this spring century. The ride will showcase the great riding that we have here in Essex County – scenic back roads and beautiful coastal vistas.

Starting at Seaside Cycles in Manchester-by-the-Sea, the ride will head north and west on the back roads of Topsfield, Boxford, West Boxford and Newbury to Riverside Cycle in Newburyport. After refueling, the route will then wind south/ southwest through Newbury, Rowley, Topsfield and Beverly to Pinnacle Bikes in Beverly for the second refueling stop. Those opting for a shorter mile option will be able to head back to Manchester and those choosing to take the longer route will be wind through some beautiful farm roads in Hamilton, Wenham, Essex, and Ipswich.

At the conclusion of the ride, Seaside Cycles will provide food and drink to replenish the efforts of the day and swap stories. Riders will depart together and speed groups will form on the road as needed
